Sue Foyle, Assistant Musical Director

I was asked in Feb 1993 to join the Basingstoke Gang show band after being spotted by Rachel and Rosie in Westminster Abbey whilst I was playing with the National Scout and Guide Orchestra at the Thinking Day celebrations, (Rosie had taught me piano and Rachel had taught me at school, so thats how they knew me!)

My first show was in 1994 and have been playing every since. My instruments include the piano, clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, bassoon, recorder, tamborine, bells and the eggs!!! In 2005 I was asked to be Assistant Musical Director which was a challenge but it was fun and enjoyable to do.

I have travelled within Guiding and have performed in other countries as well as the UK with my musical talents! My biggest concerts having been Live 07 and the Royal Albert Hall.

I have been in Guiding since the age of 6 and still run a Ranger unit in Oakley and Ranger unit in Baughurst. I have been involved in many camps and shows over the years and look forward to the 2008 Gang Show!
